Microsoft has pulled out of a data centre deal with British AI cloud provider Nscale, terminating its agreement for a site in Loughton, Essex, the Telegraph reported on Sunday, according to Reuters. Microsoft is one of Nscale’s two largest customers, the report did not say why it withdrew, and neither company immediately commented. Separately, the Financial Times reported that America’s roughly $10 trillion AI infrastructure boom is showing cracks, as project delays, public backlash and shaky investor confidence weigh on the data centre build-out.
