DeepSeek open-sourced DeepInfer on Tuesday, the internal inference framework behind its V4.1-Flash model, along with a companion tool called deepseek-recipe, in a move aimed at helping cloud providers and companies lower the cost of running its models at scale. On the same day, China said it will resolutely safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of its companies after the US Department of Homeland Security ordered federal civilian agencies to remove DeepSeek products, Reuters reported. Separately, data centre developer Nscale is in talks to sell Anthropic about $45 billion in AI computing capacity at a second building on its West Virginia campus, a person familiar with the matter told Reuters.
